She jumped at the sound of the doorbell. Not expecting anyone to come by on her day off, she wasn't really dressed for opening the door, and decided to ignore it. Moments later, however, the doorbell rang again.
Pulling on a pair of sweatpants and one of his t-shirts, she mumbled something about peace and quiet when the doorbell rang yet again. This had better be good!, she thought, and rushed to the door.
On the porch was a smiling stranger dressed in brown. If the logo on his shirt hadn't clued her in, the box in his arms certainly would have. Oh no, not another mystery box!
He had obviously ordered something online, and she had a feeling it would get tested on her before he even took his coat off when he got back. From experience, the kind of meeting he was in would be short, so he would likely be home early, too!
She signed for the box and tried not to blush as she thanked the delivery man, but he had a very confused look on his face when he walked away. It might have been the first time he had a recipient freeze up at the sight of him, blush deeply and sign for a package with fear in their eye, but if he kept working that route it would certainly not be his last such experience on that porch.
